Mr. U R Awesome is the President of U R Awesome Inc. , a nonprofit dedicated to reminding people that they are AWESOME, while empowering them to be kind to themselves, others and our environment. Brightening days and lifting spirits are part of Mr. U R Awesome's daily routine. On January 25th, 2012, he left the comforts of his home in Miami, Fl. to tour the world performing as many kind acts as he could. While touring 22 states and 2 countries, he traveled about 150 miles a day on a scooter, found places to sleep each night, searched for vegan meals, coordinated various projects, blogged about the journey, stayed in touch loved ones and completed a Master's degree in Brain Based Teaching and Learning with a 3.9 GPA! Wow right? He definitely took the cake for having balanced such an intense workload this year and was amazed by how being kind throughout his endeavor helped him make his dreams come true in bigger ways than he ever imagined.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
