This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. In this intimate performance, Ben performs a musical adaption of Aboriginal Poet Herb Wharton's piece, "Tracks". The hauntingly beautiful lyrics, set perfectly to Ben's own composition, was watched by Herb who emotionally stated that the performance "was exactly how he imagined it" when he first wrote the poem.

This performance was the first in an Artistic Collaboration project, founded by Brisbane musician Simon Munro, entitled "Borrowed Verse" where musicians re-imagine works of poetry in song.

Ben Salter is an Australian musician. He is a member of Giants of Science, the Gin Club, The Wilson Pickers and The Young Liberals and has successfully travelled around the world as a solo artist.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
