Today, I run in some of my absolute favorite running conditions along the #heritagetrail in Eastern Iowa. The Heritage Trail is a former rail line that was converted for recreational use, and this time of year, it's mostly snowmobile and animal tracks that I'll find. So while it hadn't snowed since we've been back in Iowa for the Thanksgiving holiday, there was still snow to crunch from a previous snowfall. And it was magnificent to run in.

I ran in the #Pegasus35Shield, which overall treated me quite well. My feet stayed warm and dry, and with the extra "cushion" of the snow, everything felt great. But still, I think there's too much difference in foot feel between the 35 Shield and the regular Pegasus 35. And overall, I definitely prefer the 34 Shield to the 35 Shield (although the 33 Shield remains my sentimental favorite).

Today's charity runner is Stuart Dinsdale, who is running the Reading Half Marathon with his rugby team, comprised of Royal Air Force servicmen, to help raise funds for a team member's son, who has cerebal palsy and requires stem cell treatments.

I'm looking to donate $5 to a different charity runner every day. If you know someone who is running for charity, let me know in a comment; message me on IG, Twitter, or Facebook; or send me an email. I'd love to donate $5 to their cause and spotlight them on the channel.
