Since 2015 a prison in Brazil has been giving Ayahuasca to it's inmates. The prisoners rights activist group "Acuda" was granted access to take some prisoners into the jungle to experience the effects of legitimate Ayahuasca ceremonies. Ayahuasca a mixed drink who's active ingredient is DMT has long been known for it's powerful psychedelic effects. Many claim to have life changing and profound positive epiphanies. Acuda claims they are doing this to help prisoners rehabilitate themselves in hopes for change in the prisoners recidivism rates. There was also one other expirement done in the 1960's by none other than Dr. Timothy Leary himself called "The Concord Prison Expirement".
