A U.S. soldier has been detained in Afghanistan after allegedly going on a shooting rampage, killing at least 16 Afghan civilians in the country's restive Kandahar province. U.S. President Barack Obama called the incident tragic and shocking, and offered condolences. VOA's Michael Bowman reports, the incident comes one month after U.S. forces mistakenly burned Qurans at a military base in Afghanistan, sparking riots and violent reprisals.
