What can we learn about design by encountering exhibits in unexpected places? Design is completely ubiquitous: buildings, products, signage, websites, and services are all designed. Design Museum Boston is a new type of museum creating exhibitions, events, and programs that show the who, why, and how behind the places and things we see and use everyday. What makes Design Museum Boston unique is our approach. Because design is everywhere, so are we. We put exhibitions in places where people already go, turning the museum inside out and transforming the city into the museum. This approach creates great chances for public education and opportunities to use design to improve the museum and therefore the city itself. About TEDx In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
