A Night of Miracles gala is a black-tie gala organized by BC Children's Hospital Foundation and dedicated members of the South Asian community. Over 400 distinguished guests gathered on Saturday October 19 for a night of fine dining, silent auction and live entertainment -- all in support of BC's kids. Thanks to the A Night of Miracles Cabinet and Committee, they have pledged to raise $3 million, over five years, to support the construction of the A Night of Miracles Interventional Radiology Room. Since its inception in 2009, the gala has raised over $1 million dollars for BC Children's Hospital, in particular to support the construction of a state-of-the-art A Night of Miracles Interventional Radiology Room in the new BC Children's Hospital, which will enable medical experts to provide rapid diagnosis and effective treatments in a state-of-the-art, family-centered environment. Interventional radiology can be used to diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions, including cancer, infections and brain conditions. In some cases, it may offer the only opportunity to treat a child with specific medical conditions. Providing many benefits over traditional surgery, minimally invasive procedures performed by interventional radiology will expose children to fewer risks, decrease their discomfort during and after the procedure, and reduce their length of stay at the hospital, allowing them to return home to their loved ones sooner.
