Speaker- Bertram Pamminger When IT was tasked to support an initiative to improve variant and complexity management, it was the usual scenario - "while we figure out what we want to do, please deliver a tool that solves everything." Usually the struggle to clarify requirements ensues. But this time, we first turned to Tableau to understand the data. Even though we didn't start with asking the right questions, the first answers gave us hints of where to dig deeper. The insights we obtained allowed a better, fact-based discussion, fed by knowledge from the data, and ultimately to a better solution. In this session, attendees will hear Bertram's experiences of how to use Tableau's capabilities as a blueprint to grasp a topic by making sense of the data. Data insights do not replace expertise, but they complement it nicely.
