Concept. Recording- one long tack in several sections- all linked by a musical theme/story of emotional isolation, abandonment, a parents religious disapproval, reflection, Loss, realization, freedom.

Recorded in one day at Purple Studios. Norwich - 1996

Bio: NEVERAFTER - Lowestoft- Late November 1996- Musicians from various bands met up and discussed their shared love of prog rock and bands such as Marillion, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree etc. It was decided to form a side project from their current bands to create a melodic progressive rock CD. The result was 'Outgrown'

This recording was essentially 'Lost' since 1999, until Nov 2006 as ALL- recordings including CD's mysteriously failed to play- and it has taken me years to contact the studio for a new copy of the DAT tape. This was the first ever recording experience for a couple of members.
The members of NEVERAFTER have long since moved onwards and upwards- John Knight (Vocals) - supported Iron Maiden with Fifth Season, performed at Download festival-Donnington & was singing in melodic technical metal act thE.thinkinG.principlE (now vocalist in SYNAPTIK) along with Matt Denny (Drums)- who plays in various bands locally................ Steve Woodcock (Bass) is currently in prog/tech metallers LINEAR SPHERE, and does session work in London, after playing with many metal/jazz bands in the London scene. James Fisher (Guitar) joined Lowestoft 'Nu Metal' band Crawl Blind and performed in the U.S - I believe he has since retired from music........ Jim Moore (keyboards)...? Who knows- the man has disappeared! (any sightings please let me know)........ This band obviously does not exist anymore and this has been set up for fans of the band and anyone who didn't hear the songs first time around. This was the first and only release from NEVERAFTER and the band was essentially a side project for the band members to pay homage to great bands such as Marillion/Fish etc and to stretch their creative wings style wise. Thanks for listening. Enjoy. ..
