This was shot from the south shores of Long Island; in Broad Channel, Rockaway Beach and Long Beach. The highest wind gust we measured (55 mph) was below hurricane strength, but the storm surge was the main story, inundating all the south facing beaches along the Long Island coastline to a depth of several feet.
