This 110 foot cedar was 95% good wood, but, with its 7-10% degree lean over a two story garage/apt, the missus was worried. It took me way to long to get a line set. Then, I ascended on the Wraptor, and set a lowering line through a pulley and redirected out a short way. Attached a biner part way up the lowering line, leaving both ends on the ground. Attached slings to the limbs and then to the girth hitched biner, which created a built in tag line for the crew to pull the limbs clear of the roof. After attaining enough height, we converted the lowering line to a speed line, and ran it to a portawrap my pickup. Manual tensioning was sufficient. Took a small top onto a quite slack speed line to limit side loading. Slick and easy. The four 21 foot logs should scale out to about 1200 board feet. As Fritch Mill was only 7 miles away, we loaded the logs onto the crane and they delivered them. Pay at Fritch is only $500 mbf, but no worries.
