Harvey Fierstein's landmark play is returning to Broadway thanks to Second Stage Theater and director Moisés Kaufman. After a successful off-Broadway run last year, Michael Urie, Mercedes Ruehl, and the rest of the cast of Second Stage Theater's revival of Harvey Fierstein's ''Torch Song'' will be back for the Broadway transfer, set to open on November 1 at the Hayes Theater. TheaterMania talked to the cast, Fierstein, and director Moisés Kaufman about the production. They shared not only their excitement at bringing the watershed play back to the Great White Way, but also their hopes of reaching an even wider audience with this upcoming limited engagement.
