UN Secretary General, Ban Ki Moon has been "strongly encouraged" by a keynote speech delivered by U.S. President, Barack Obama at the University of Cairo in Egypt. The Secretary General believes the President's visit to the Middle East is a crucial step in bridging divides and promoting understanding between the two regions. He also hopes it will have a positive impact on the peace process in the Middle East, and the resolution of a number of conflicts in the region and elsewhere.
