Diggs, Jr. - A Sea of Grass : The Black Land Prairie Across Time" Originally recorded in Spring 2002 Listening to the Prairie is a traveling exhibit organized by the Smithsonian's Natural Museum of Natural History, Forces of Change Program - distinguished lectures. Twenty cities across the United States were selected as host for "Listening to the Prairie". Allen was the only city from Texas chosen to participate in the exhibit. Listening to the Prairie : Distinguished Lecture Series was sponsored by the Allen Public Library and co-sponsored by the Allen Heritage Guild, Friends of the Library and Texas Council for the Humanities.
