#SGT_University students and faculty members were all ears to an intriguing lecture given by #Nobel #prize #winner Shree #Kailash_Satyarthi. In his speech, he recalled his childhood years when he was a curious kid wanting to get some pictures clicked with esteemed #Nobel_prize_winners. He fondly reminisced those moments when his dream ultimately came true when he got to meet His Holiness ' The Dalai Lama'...He further told that #childhood was an important phase in the life of any person for it formed the pedestal for adulthood. Unfortunately in developing countries such as India, still, there are millions of children who undergo some or the other form of harassment and atrocities in their everyday life...#Millions of #children either do not go or drop out of school before completing their formal #education. Millions are subjected to physical and mental torture in some form or another. It was these reasons that inspired him to start his #NGO '#BACHPANBACHAOANDOLAN' and the Kailash Satyarthi #Children's_Foundation which works to provide equal rights to children. The #Nobel_laureate emphasized that we the privileged lot should do the needful for these children and #BE the change we wish to see
