Nachdem bei einer Verfoilgungsjagd durch die Regensburger Innenstadt der flüchtende PKW verunfallt und ein 5-jähriges Mädchen letztendlich ihren Verletzungen erlag, fliegt ein Polizeihubschrauber die Fluchtstrecke nochmals ab um Schäden zu dokumentieren. Der flüchtende PKW war zuvor oftmals über Gehwege und Parkanlagen gefahren, hat Unfälle mit Einsatzfahrzeugen provoziert, und ist mit über 100 km/h über rote Ampeln geflogen.

German police helicopter:
A helicopter from the Bavarian State Police is flying above Regensburg Downtown where a police chase took place minutes earlier. The helicopter was flying the route the police chase went, to record damages etc.
On the 1st of August at 2:25 PM first calls about a reckless driver in a sports car, driving on sidewalks and through a road construction zone came in. The first patrol cars sent there couldn't find the car (Mazda MX 5). Then he drove on southbound into a city park, where he hit a woman, and few minutes later on a worker from the municipal gardening office tried to pull the ignition key as the car was driving slow - but he wasn't successful. Then we went westbound and as he passed the court house, a patrol car which wasn't involved in the chase yet came out at the same time. The Mazda drove onto the sidewalk, through a red light and showed the middle finger to the police officers. From this point on, 35 minutes after the first call, a patrol car finally was chasing him. As the Mazda proceeded on the sidewalk, the patrol car passed on the street and blocked the Mazda few meters later on, this time it was one of the police officers trying to pull the key, but didn't succeed as well. The Mazda backed up, drove around the patrol car and the chase was on again. Then just few hundred meters later in front of Regensburg Central Station the Mazda slammed on the brakes and the patrol car rear-ended it, of course it had some damages but could proceed. The chase went on against a one-way street, and through an underpass south of the railroad tracks and into a residential area. There he struck the private car of an off-duty police officer, which fortunately wasn't hurt even though his car is badly damaged. At the next intersections, where the residential street crosses main roads, the Mazda flew through the red lights at more than 65 mph -- the patrol cars slowed down in order to proceed safely. And now the worst part comes: in the residential area there's an s-curve with a slope, at the left turn the Mazda went straight ahead, hit the curb, became airborne, crashed into a parked below and then flew further on into a Laundromat. The tragic point in all this: two sister 3 and 5 years old were sitting on the stairs to the Laundromat, both were directly struck by the car, the 5 year old girl had to be resuscitated, but unfortunately died later on in the hospital. The car driver was hurt as well, but at least he couldn't flee and was taken into custody; Here's a video where you see how the crash scene looked like, where the car was etc.:
