My personal best time and current world record on DesertD1.

Beaten the previous WR by exactly 1 second. my reaction: https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/t1/1622670_596021807135026_796446647_n.jpg
Very happy with this time - I knew it was possible but I didn't expect to get it :p
The part which obviously makes your time is the shortcut at the start. Doing the wobbling trick on the small offroad part before the jump actually makes a HUGE difference which makes the cut A LOT easier to do. Another part where I always shit my pants is the fast left-right turn combination after the huge drop. You have to move your car on 2 wheels and make sure not to touch the sand or the edge of the road. The huge unsmooth jump after the tunnel also leaves some room for improvements because you often get cruel landing bugs or random slowdowns. The way how you take the jump is important here - if your car is slightly tilted, your car will most probably completely lose grip after the landing what also results in a huge speed loss (and in a crash as well).
Also at the end, you really need to maintain your speed and have a good line for the finish jump. As I was -0.9 in front of the old WR at the previous cp, I didn't want to risk anything, so I slowed down more than I would usually do.
My previous pb, a 35.98 had a really sick cut (was about 0.2 faster than this) but unfortunately I had a bad landing after the big jump and slided in the last tunnel xD
With a perfect cut and a better ending a .7x or .6x is possible here for sure :)
