The Bright Idea promises a 40 mile all-electric range, and relies on its light weight, aerodynamics, and low rolling resistance tires to provide an estimated 40 miles per gallon while running on its gasoline engine. 

This segment was shot at the 2010 Washington Auto Show / Electric Drive Transportation Conference.

I've had this footage sitting on a HD since January. When the word hit today that General Motors had made an investment in Bright Automotive, I got it in gear and cut the video ... :)
