NOTE: Make sure you close all the applications that might be using files from that partition and then click Yes, to continue the drive letter removal operation. the partition will never be available to users, unless you choose to unhide (mount) it.

how to hide/ show hard disk drive 
why you need to use this feature of windows- 
To protect your private data from your computer users 
i want to hide these two drives drive E and G
Go to menu right click on computer then click on manage 
now click on disk management right click on the drive which you want to hide
click on change drive letter and paths..
click on remove i will do the same thing
for other drive now you can see both drives are hidden
lets bring back them again do right click on drive and 
click on add hit ok same for other drives also
both drives are back again .
