Enjoying our three mile hike. No treats were used in the making of this video, just praise and fun.

Impressed by the instant recall and off leash manners? Notice how they never go beyond my line of sight? Like how happy they look when they come running to me, despite all the interesting sight, noise and smell distractions and lack of treats? Did you check out their automatic check ins (turning their heads to make eye contact with me)?

Did I bribe the dogs by initially training with treats even though they're running to me despite their knowledge that I'm carrying no treats on me? Are they trying to be "dominant" by walking ahead of me or are they just faster walkers than me and enjoying their hike?

ANYone can harness the power of positive reinforcement. No domination, force, shock/prong/choke collars or aversive corrections needed. Learning is enjoyable.

The standard is my Ginger and the mini is my rescue, Angel. She used to be a breeder at a puppy mill and is a very fearful dog but she's learning to trust humans and to enjoy life and gain confidence. She ran away from her last home but here she is coming when called and without a leash.
