This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Floods, congestion, poverty, THE URBAN SPRAWL. Gordon Joseph shows us how the city of Cebu to came to have these problems at an alarming scale today. Starting a movement called Mega Cebu, he is challenging the youth to raise their voice and speak out Joseph is a reformed loyal employee who junked employment to start his own businesses - and hasn’t looked back since. He is now trying to make Cebu a better place to live by chipping in as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Metro Cebu Development and Coordinating Board and it’s “Mega Cebu” initiative. About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
