My name is Elena Cardone and I am today's Modern Housewife.  The Modern Housewife is the woman that is independent enough to believe in herself to actually be the wife, the mother, the care taker to keep the home together without giving herself and her identity up.  The Modern Housewife is not fighting for her independence through fear of losing it she knows the importance of the Wife, the Mother, the homemaker - she values the family more than just herself and her career.  I am sick of hearing women libbers suggest that men are somehow the problem, that men are responsible for the glass ceilings imposed on women in the workplace or that women are somehow not treated fairly in the world.  Ladies your independence does not come because you somehow are by yourself, taking care of yourself, because of your career or title - your independence is an inside job.  No one can take it from you or give it to you.  

I am fed up with women demanding and insistencing that a womans independence cant be achieved while taking care of the man.  The family, institution of marriage and even the value of being a woman is being destroyed by the ideas born out of the Womens Lib Movement. I know because I held on to this mythology for years of my life resisting any dependence on men. I believe incorrectly for years that if I was with strong successful men I would somehow lose myself. That if I became a mother and housewife I would be 'selling out'' somehow.  What I got from that was lonliness, misery and weak men.  Rather than moving toward strong, independent successful men I attracted men that I had to take care of and later resented.  And most importantly I lost touch with the unbelievable value of the women to society, relationships, marriage and the family.

The Women's rights movement has enslave women and I believe is actually destroying those things that make women most unique and valuable and more importantly robbing the woman of her happiness and independence. It was only until I was willing to play second fiddle, support my man, be the woman, be the wife and be a mother that I was able to actually attract a strong successful and independent man that was secure enough to let me be who I am and maintain my independence.  You want freedom - be all that which only a woman can be. In Modern Housewife I share with video my encounters in short episodes the things that the truly empowered, truly independent Modern Housewife experiences and goes through being the woman.

Elena Lyons Cardone talks in the Cartier Episode about her mistakes by asking her husbands for his opinion when she already knew what she wanted to do. This created an unnecessary problem in the relationship and she quickly realizes she created a problem for her husband Grant Cardone unnecessarily.  The woman should make the decisions in the household and if they are going to ask for input from the husband then be ready to accept it.  The Cartier watch at the end chills Elena  out when she takes the time to realize that her man loves her and all he does everyday as the husband and primary provider to take care of the family and the marriage.
