With tractor work placed on hold due to the wet weather, I am back to excavating the dirt and clay using a shovel, rake and wheel barrel. Thus, progress is very slow. This weekend, I completed the beginnings of a clay and earth berm on the meadow side of the pond's perimeter, first digging two 12"-14" staircase steps in the topsoil and then loading the steps with clay that I dug from the deeper holes at the bottom of the pond. Once the weather and pond dries out, tractor work can resume, and the excavation spoils will be dumped on the berm increasing the height and expanding the width, particularly at the lowest end of the meadow where the earth ramp remains for tractor, and wheel barrel  access. 

Thanks for tracking our progress, and I'm sorry if you find our pond construction project tediously slow, but I want to document the entire process and I'm in no particular hurry to get it done.
