Doug Bailey, a resident of Mississippi Lake, is upset about the sudden appearance of a large dock at John's Marina, three doors away from his new retirement home. A protest to the Ministry of Natural Resources has led to a temporary stop-work order. The L-shaped dock runs about 80 metres from shore. Bailey and others are worried about the navigational hazard, potential impacts on the environment from the large anchors and possible nuisance issues, like noise, pollution and excess boat traffic.
