In this video, I explain some of the number theory for real and complex numbers. The topology of addition and the graph theory for multiplication are all show using simple cubes and pipe cleaners. How to animate these numbers directly is discussed. These two workhorses of theoretical physics, the real and complex numbers are extended two ways. By adding more sets, a number is created that should be able to handle the three dimensions of space needed to do ordinary physics. The result looks crazy big complicated, but that is OK since that is the Universe we live in. There is a system of numbers that is simpler than the real numbers, but still can be analyzed in terms of addition, multiplication, and animation. Zero or one or the superposition of the two fit the bill. An animation that has but one frame could represent here-now with me at the center of the Universe. You are the center of your own Universe. Your coordinates in here-now are 0-0-0-0. To get to the next moment of your life, add 0-0-0-0 and voila, you are at 0-0-0-0. This sounds trivial as it should since the group theory is Z1, the trivial group. Empty space-time, you and I all get to the next moment of the Universe without using any energy. The one way I can see to achieve such a goal as a mathematical expression is to add zero over and over again. The root of the strangeness in fundamental physics may be the three presentations of the trivial group.
