Running New Rolling Stock On My HO Layout

We will be running our new rolling stock on my HO scale layout for the first time out of the box. While on vacation in Maryland, we made a few purchases at our favorite hobby shops there; Star Hobby and MB Klein.

In the mix of rolling stock I purchased a few 40 ft box cars, coal hoppers, gondolas, and 2 cabooses. 11 pieces will be run in this video behind my PRR F7 A. We will be operating this session with the Digitrax Super Empire Builder Plus DCC System.

One omission in this video is the PRR RS-3 which bit the dust before I could set up all the new rolling stock on the tracks. While running a few laps around the layout to break in the engine, it failed before the second time around. I will have to take this engine apart to see what the issue is. I have had numerous problems with Bachman locomotives in the past with their gears and gear housing. I suspect this might be the same issue with this engine.
