we really had NO business driving this.  It was the highlight of our 2007 visit to Canyonlands National Park out of Moab, Utah. Shafer Canyon is in Canyonlands'
 "Island in the Sky" (northern-most) district. Another incredible spot is nearby Mesa Arch.
