Every year at SEASSI, Intermediate and Advanced Khmer language students design, research and orally present on an independent study project on a topic that interests them, for 30% of their grade in the course. This is a presentation by a 2013 student on education in Cambodia, including an historical overview and a look at issues facing the educational system today. In her research, she relied on both books in Khmer and English and interviews with local Khmers on their opinions on education.
