Saturday, March 5, 2011, Video Capture of Savannah National Wildlife Refuge's Alligator located in a tidal river that I wanted to share with others. This gator was definitely eyeing me (protecting it's habitat) The Refuge was established in 1927, has 29,000 acres of fresh water marshes, tidal rivers, bottomland hardwoods, sandhill ridges, & diverse wildlife. As I walked the area, more and more Alligators began surfacing. I made sure not to get too close to the edges of the marsh thinking an alligator could be nesting on the edge of the marsh. A combination of gusty winds and light rain made filming difficult. The ecosystems, ie, waters, marshes, grasses, wildlife all looked good except for one bird with a swollen hurt foot. Any info on the Alligator is appreciated :) Thank you for watching my video :) Video filmed by YouTuber ln4359
