This shows a small scale prototype I built trying to make a robot arm or a stabilization system for the University of Utah Mars Rover competition using 3 servos and a 9 DOF inertial measurement unit sensor for the Space Concordia Robot Department.
Servos are mapping the inverse angle of the yaw, pitch and roll sent by the IMU.
Material:
Three 9G micro servo
One 9 DOF IMU
An Arduino Uno with a Sensor Shield V5.0 mounted on top
9 Degrees of Freedom Sensor Stick

Description: The 9DOF Sensor stick is a very small sensor board with 9 degrees of freedom. It includes the ADXL345 accelerometer, the HMC5883L magnetometer, and the ITG-3200 MEMS gyro. The 'stick' has a simple I2C interface and a mounting hole for attaching it to your project. Also, the board is a mere 0.036" thick (0.093" overall), allowing it to be easily mounted in just about any application.
