During the Bush years, the US didn't see a single piece of legislation come through Washington that helped stop the emission of greenhouse gases. As a result, we're now far behind almost every other industrialized nation when it comes to curbing the causes of climate change. When Obama was elected, environmentalists thought that we would see a wave of new legislation helping reduce greenhouse gases. While we've seen a few laws to help, we're still not seeing what we'd been promised during the campaign season.
