One school, one book. That's the idea behind a reading program at one mountain elementary school.And as you'll see in our Never Stop Learning report, even long distances couldn't stop parents from sharing the book with their children.Andrew Paul is Skyping all the way from Missouri. He didn't want to miss this opportunity to read with his daughter and her classmates.Parents and volunteers are at Leicester Elementary school, reading the last chapter of The Cricket in Times Square. It's a chapter book that the more than 400 students in grades K-4 took home with them to read with their parents.The goal was to make reading a family affair. Caryn Levy, media coordinator, they have to have role models. People they see reading and their parents who should be a better role model than their parents?Megan Smallman, parent, Being able to have that time together to sit and read a book and have that experience together is important as a familyThe school even set up a science center so students could learn more about crickets.
