A typical Bank Holiday weekend, pouring with rain. Most Bank Holidays this museum, which holds the largest collection of mill engines in the UK, opens it's doors to the public. There have been some new additions since my last visit and more public facilities, like separate and disabled acces toilets added. It is fascinating to see the scale of these exhibits and the amount of work that has gone into restoring these engines by the societies volunteers. This time were several scale models on show which were absolutely breath taking with the amount of detail gone into each fully working model engine. It gave me the ideal opportunity to give the Panasonix LX5 a head to head with the canon EOS 550d in these fairly low level light conditions. Both cameras were set at ISO 400. The LX5 seemed to cope better with the low light and produced more richly saturated colour and detail.
