If you are looking for a home NAS, and was simple toolless drive installation, quick and simple setup with an app-store like system for easily installable programs - this isn't it. This is a hardcore power user's NAS, for someone dedicated to either learning Windows Server 2012 R2, or has prior knowledge. There are a lot more possibilities since this is basically running a full x86 OS, but lacks clear instruction for a novice like myself to get to grips with it. I'll try and come back to this in a few months once I have my head wrapped around this a bit more!
