In this part, we complete Stage 1-3. This is probably the hardest stage in the Underworld. There are many odd, tentacle-like objects that can damage Pit when he touches them. There's lots of platforming involved in this stage. This is also the first stage where you can get one of the Enchanted Weapons. To do so, you have to endure "harsh training". You will then be able to pick one of the three weapons. I would go with the Protective Crystal first, as it allows Pit to be surrounded by two crystals, damaging any enemies that get near them. You need to have more life segments to begin using these Enchanted Weapons. You cannot use them in fortresses. This stage contains Shemum, Reapers, Reapettes, Nettlers, Monoeyes, McGoos, Commylooses, Specknoses, and Monoliths.

We encounter a new enemy in this stage:

Monolith: These odd plate-looking obstacles are only found in certain rooms, where you must dodge them for a Sacred Weapon. I actually didn't know that you can shoot them until much later in the game. You can shoot them for a Heart.
