Hundreds of motorcyclists will roll into Pleasant Valley on Saturday to show support for a man who lost a limb. The Pleasant Valley Police Department is hosting a benefit ride for dispatcher Conroe Cook. On Aug. 6, Cook was riding his motorcycle to work when he crashed into another vehicle. A guy turned left in front of me. I flew up over the bike; the bike flew over too," Cook said. Cook lost his left leg in the crash and spent more than two months in a hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was not insured. In all, Cook said his medical bills might reach $1 million. Cook's friends and co-workers will ride Saturday to raise money to help pay the bills.
