This past weekend, I participated in the cosplay contest at a local Nihon Matsuri in my state! Here's the footage from my performance!! Filming by Shariobup ! Thanks!! The judge lineup for this event was so strong, I admire each of them so, SO greatly!! Knowing they were the judges REALLY pushed me to challenge myself in making something outside of my comfort zone, to push past my limits, make use of materials and tools I hadn't prior, and craft something I could absolutely be proud of after the fact! There's alot I would have made a bit differently in hindsight, but I'm just happy I was even able to finish!! The judges awarded me with their Attention to Detail award which was SO flattering!! I'm so grateful and still a little bit in disbelief, haha!! I had such an incredible time this weekend-- the competition was INTENSE! So, SO many people really brought their A-game to this year's contest and it was SO impressive!! Each and every award was so well-deserved, I was so floored by everyone's talent, both in craft and stage presence!! It was so great meeting everyone and cheering eachother on !! See you all next year!!
