Video from last sunday's Combat Saber duels! At the end of every session we have these 1-on-1 30 second drills. They allow the combatants to put what they learnt earlier in the session into actual practice. These are not choreographed, and it teaches them to look out for specific targets, in this case, the opponents hands. The goal of the drill for now is to get the strikes as close the the hands of your opponent as possible. Therefore you see less blade contact. But once the targeting goes to the head then you will see more blade contact. This is part of the training progression. We have not put on protective gear yet as everyone is still at the early stages of the program. As you've realised by now, we're all about lightsaber combat and duels!
