Hey everyone so after both of my children left the house to become adults my husband and I took a cruise on the Atlantis Allure Caribbean Cruise. This was a reward for both of us because we needed a break for just him and I to be together. So, picture this 5,200 gay men on one cruise ship. Yeah it was very cool and the husband and I met some really interesting people. So how does this vacation relate to HIV you ask? I’ve never been on a cruise before and some people that are diagnosed with HIV think of only despair. I prefer to live my life to the fullest and be open to new experiences and sensations. I like the good rush of feeling alive and the adrenaline racing through my veins. Just because you have HIV doesn’t mean that you cannot enjoy life, love sex etc. Taking time to smell the roses is something everyone needs to do every now and then. I’ve helped raised two children, gotten three degrees and I’m working on my doctorate, I NEEDED THIS!!
