SANGER, California - A man led police officers on a high-speed chase Wednesday afternoon that ended in Sanger. The suspect's name is Luis Cantu, Sanger Police Clp. Manuel Duran Jr. says. The pursuit began around 3 p.m. when officers responded to the 2400 block of 7th Street where they found Cantu attempting to drive up onto the front yard of a home. He was driving erratically and failed to yield to police officers, eventually hitting two police cruisers in the area. Cantu was headed toward Reedley, and that's when Sanger police officers ended their pursuit due to his erratic driving, the rainy weather and the pursuit leading into a new city, Duran says.
