In this video I explain that happiness results from fulfilling desires, and therefore the quality of our happiness depends on the quality of the object we desire. Happiness is the inherent, undeniable goal of life, and finding the ultimate, enduring object of desire is therefore of utmost importance. Selfishness is the greatest stumbling block, to finding this object. Selfishness distorts our vision of reality, causing us to have desires based on misinformation, which lead only to frustrated forms of “happiness.” Sincere thanks to my very good, longtime friend Subhadra for asking the questions.
