In this video I'm going to examine white's primary responses to decline the Dzindzi Indian starting at 1. d4 g6 2. c4 Bg7 3. Nc3 c5 and white's options are 4. Nf3, 4. e3, 4. dxc5, and the unusual 4. Be3!? While these variations are going to take you out of the normal Dzindzi Indian set-up, they shouldn't take you out of your comfort zone! Black's goal should be to build up significant pressure on the dark squares in the center and make white capitulate with either play dxc5 or d5. The most important point for you to remember in these Dzindzi Indian Declined lines is that you need to play extremely actively in the opening and make every single move count. You should strive to create maximum pressure and complications possible and try to punish white for his mostly unforcing play. These variations where white declines the Dzindzi Indian are still dangerous and should be taken seriously, however with energetic piece play black should be able to achieve adequate counterplay.
