While on the search for CSX K223 with a CP AC44CW 2nd unit in the consist, we catch a Loaded GALX coal train destined for Milledgeville, Georgia, rolling down the old Georgia Railroad Line through Thomson, GA to meet a loaded Rock Train from Camak, GA on the siding. NOTE: The Search for K223 was unsucessful as it got too late to even try to find him between Atlanta & Augusta.


The Story Behind "Mr. Jones" the Local Drunk:


As Sam & I began to set up to catch this train we saw a stranger coming our way...All of a sudden he starts going crazy, yelling, asking us if we had beer, or cigs...which we had neither one. Then he ask what we were doing and he started yelling "A TRAIN IS COMING O' A TRAIN IS COMING! GET OFF THE TRACKS!". Well, while the GALX Coal train was passing, "Mr. Jones" threw his walking pole/stick at the coal cars which bounced off towards us. But yea that's the story behind him!
