Claude Debussy - Feux d'artifice

This is a video from my second solo piano recital, performed on July 14, 2013. This recital was a performance of preludes by Claude Debussy, and this piece is Feux d'artifice (Fireworks), from Preludes, Book II. Apologies for the awkward camera angle - our piano is in the corner of the living room, so it's a bit difficult to film on a Flip camera in a way that can show the performer's hands and profile without the side wall getting in the way. This was the eleventh and final piece I performed. Most of these pieces took about 2-4 weeks for me to learn. This one took a little longer, but I had a lot of fun learning it - ultimately it was not quite as difficult as I expected it to be. I could definitely get some of the runs a bit cleaner, but I hope you enjoy listening. As an interesting coincidence, I performed these pieces, with Feux d'artifice as the finale, on July 14 - Bastille Day.
