Hard to believe it has been so long, but a group of 6 of us built this engine at B.Y.U., 3 of us had to stay an extra semester to finish it off. It ran the 3rd of August 1990 at about 10pm, and it actually started and kept running on the very first pull, thanks to a good priming job. Thanks Dan, Vali, and the rest of the crew, as well as Prof. Mortensen for allowing us to use this as a senior project. Thanks also to the machine shop folks for being so helpful and patient with us beginning machinists! Let this be an example to you, if you want something bad enough, you can do it.
