Queensland celebrates 150 years of independence from New South Wales on 10 December 2009. This milestone provides a unique opportunity to celebrate Queensland throughout 2009. This is the 3rd sector of the trip from Mackay to Proserpine - I ended up chasing the train 70km north of Mackay - This is the replacement engine 1079 that came up from Ipswich after 1089 broke down. She's still a class BB18¼ series and sounds amazing chugging away up the hills.
