The Jaroso fire was started by lightning, in the Pecos Wilderness, in the Santa Fe National Forest on June 10, 2013. It ultimately burned through more than 11,000 acres of forest. On Monday, June 24, it expanded rapidly and took a turn to the south east and burned across the Panchuela watershed towards the Pecos River. This is two 12 minute videos of the smoke taken from the parking lot at Cowles, NM on June 24.
