I finished the spike trap around the cabin, removed the old roof and built a flat new one. I also built some pillars to ensure a good stability for the watchtower. 
Now it's time to stockpile resources for the main base at the lake and I think I'll build a tunnel, using TNT, from this cabin to the lake. This way I can gather ores and have a underground entrance for the lake base.
