A extremely moist day at Cadwell! Really had to feather the throttle this time to get anything to the floor!

Friend of mine came flying past me on the straight on a very wet track day at Cadwell Park (25/11/18).

Marc's Civic Turbo is like 500bhp and his oil cooler used these new push on hose fittings.

Sure enough he lost vtec on the straight, as he came past me. Spraying what at first me and Mike thought was coolant, turns out it was oil. As soon as I washed my windscreen that was it, zero visibility.

Marc got recovered back to the pits after dumping 3-4 litres of oil onto the track. The marshalls did a great job on the clean up and everyone was back out on track again in 40-50mins. 

Marc was very apologetic to everyone, but what can you do! You spend money on expensive and high quality parts to have them fail and let you down.

Luckily Marc caught the fault quickly, shut it down and saved the engine. After refitting the lines, clamping them on with hose clamps the car was running again later that day!
