http://www.gamezplay.org - Gamers can now download and play as the war-hardened dwarf, Glóin in Guardians of Middle-earth on Xbox LIVE Arcade. This new Guardian character will release for PlayStation Network soon.

As one of the 12 dwarves who accompanied Thorin Oakenshield to reclaim Erebor and father of Gimli, Glóin joins the epic character roster in Guardians of Middle-earth, with Season Pass holders set to receive two more Guardians in the coming months, and more to come as well.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions also released new character art, bio, and ability details about playing as Glóin, whose abilities include using fire to attack enemies and stunning foes with a swift blow of his mighty axe.

Also, for a limited time PlayStation Plus members can download Guardians of Middle-earth for free between Feb. 4 through March 4, 2013.

In  Guardians of Middle-earth, gamers team up as the most powerful heroes from the greatest fantasy epic of all time, bringing up to 10 players together in a competitive multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game.  Featuring select characters from the film,  The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, the game allows players to develop and master more than 20 iconic characters. Play as Gandalf, Gollum, Legolas, Sauron and more, forming memorable and unlikely alliances with and against friends. Gamers can connect with other players via an in-game voice communication system, as well as access to a comprehensive online stat and leader board system where they can track friends' victories and defeats, and more. Now available at select retail stores and via download for Xbox LIVE Arcade for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Network.

Glóin, son of Gróin and father of Gimli, is one of the twelve Dwarves that accompanied Thorin Oakenshield to reclaim Erebor from the dragon Smaug. He would later attend the Council of Elrond in Rivendell to help discuss the fate of the One Ring, which was in the possession of a young Hobbit by the name of Frodo Baggins. His abilities as a warrior allow him to get up close and personal with his foes, all while relying on his Dwarven traits to keep him in the thick of even the most dangerous battles.

Glóin's Gameplay Abilities:
A Bit of Fire: Damages nearby enemies and gives Glóin haste
Durin's Line: Damages all enemies in a target area 
Dwarven Stubbornness: Increased resistances and lights enemies on fire that strike him 
Mighty Axe: Medium range area attack with damage and stun
